Size & Space
Always measure your room before buying. Consider not just floor space but ceiling height and access for delivery. A tape measure is your best friend when shopping for desk lamps.

Many modern products come with built-in storage — drawers, shelves or hidden compartments. If space is tight, a model with integrated storage could save you buying extra furniture.

Check for relevant safety certifications and read the small print on weight limits, age suitability and assembly requirements. If it's for a child, guardrails and rounded edges are essential.

You don't always need to spend more to get quality. Mid-range options often offer the best value. Set a budget, compare at least 3 products, and watch for seasonal deals on Amazon.
