Everything about this desk lamp screams quality, and lets face it for the price it should. The lamp comes well packaged in a very professional looking box, there is some weight to it too. The lamp requires a very small bit of assembly but this does not require any tools to complete. Once assembled the lamp feels rock solid. The mains adaptor has a lead that is just under 2m and there is a small bullet connector near the lamp end of the cable, this means that if you need to pass the cable through a desk hole the hole only needs to be quite small, much smaller than what is needed for a standard UK mains plug. Once the lamp is in position on your desk there is a big of range of motion of the lamp enabling you to get the light source in the best position for your needs. The lamp is simple to operate, everything is controlled from one touch sensitive panel on the lamp head, there are several buttons for pre-set modes for things like reading and working, these set the colour temperature and brightness to the factory defined values. There are also controls to adjust the brightness manually, the colour temperature is fixed by the mode chosen. There are a couple of other buttons for extra features like a light sensor mode and motion sensing, which will automatically turn the light off if there is no motion detected for a period of time. Overall, this is a very high quality lamp with useful features and an excellent eye friendly light output, yes it's expensive but if you are after the best this lamp will not disappoint.

Comes well packaged in a large retail box with power adaptor, hex wrench, instructions and requires simple assembly. This is a really good quality and well made table lamp that is bright and has several colour temperature mode presets (reading, monitor and night mode) as well as an eye care mode, timer and even a motion sensor as well as stepless dimming, which are all controlled with touch controls located on the front of the light head. However at this price point its seriously lacking some obvious and basic functions. 1st, no remote control. 2nd, changing modes (reading and screen) sets the lamp at its brightest mode every time so you have to adjust the brightness each time and night mode defaults to low light level. 3rd, basic memory functions only, it remembers what mode you were on and the brightness set but each mode cannot be set individually. 4th ... a minor one, the touch control panel is a finger print magnet as is the base. The price when i ordered this was a shockingly high £300 and i cannot see any justification for such an excessive price considering the lack of even basic functions that are available for lamps that are well under £100, and i have tested quite a lot over the last 12 months and this ranks near the bottom due to missing basic functionality unfortunately. The current price at the time of writing this review is £239.99 with a £30 voucher available and even that price seems way over the top at £209.

This is a fantastic desk lamp; very modern look with lots of easy to use options. Honeywell hit it out of the park on this one! Very easy to put together, took less than 2 minutes after unpacking the light. I recommend lubricating the two hex screws, (don't need to), just makes them go in very smoothly. I would buy this light again and highly recommend it!

October 2024. This thing is solidly built, first of all. I see from some reviews that the price was way too high before, just a few months ago. It's listed at $360 now, but I got it on sale during Prime Days (early Oct. 2024) for about $270. I got this because I wanted a light that reduces eye strain at night, so I only use the night-mode setting. It has a wide range of brightness, and I find the lowest light setting to be low enough for late night usage. It also has a proximity sensor (that you can turn on or leave off) that actually works. To me, it's worth it, but I would much rather wait for the next sale before buying a second one as I want one for my bedroom as well.

Die Montage dauert etwa eine Minute. Ein Paar mitgelieferter Maschinenschrauben muss von der Unterseite des Sockels aus eingeführt und mit einem mitgelieferten Inbusschlüssel festgezogen werden. Netzteil anschließen, einstecken und schon kann es losgehen. Der einzige Nachteil der Lampe ist der Preis, der zum Zeitpunkt dieser Bewertung bei 800 US-Dollar lag. So großartig die Verarbeitung und die Funktionen auch sind, der Preis ist mehr als angemessen. This is a very sturdy large desk light with a sturdy base and multiple LED options from light color and brightness to timer, but the design is a little clunky with status symbols across the top bar, which ruins sleek and modern aesthetics. First off, this thing is huge. The base itself is very heavy, weighing the majority of the 3.6 kg listed weight. The rest of the light comes separate from the base and is attached with two included bolts. The light is adjustable using the aluminum arm, and there are multiple pivots including the one at the base, the main "elbow", the "wrist" joint right next to the light head, and finally the light itself can rotate almost 180 degrees in each direction from the "wrist". It is very adjustable and casts a wide light at 24" across. The light is powered by a 24V DC wall adapter with about a 6-foot cord, that attaches to the light using a barrel connector. The lamp is controlled by touch buttons on the front of the lamp head. These touch controls are very sensitive, even to accidental presses due to contact with your hand while you're adjusting the head. The controls are pretty simple, and there are a few main operating modes. The "work" mode sets the lamp to a color temperature of 5000K, the reading mode sets it to a yellower 4000K, and "night" mode sets it to 2700K and low brightness. Two touch buttons let you increase or decrease the brightness either in steps or infinitely fading if you hold them down. The three main operating modes each default to a certain brightness (maximum for the two work modes, and minimum for the sleep mode) and don't retain the memory of the last custom brightness you dialled in when you switch between them. They do, however, remember their settings between power on and off. (But only as long as the lamp isn't unplugged.) There's also a sensor mode which automatically turns the lamp on and off in response to a person being present, and an auto-brightness setting which adjusts the brightnes in response to ambient lighting. Finally, there's a timer key which gives you either a 30-second delayed-off function (I guess so you have time to leave the room before it goes completely dark), or a 45-minute countdown to off. This light is built really solidly, but I have two issues: one is the high-gloss black surface of the lamp base is susceptible to smudging, and two is that the touch panel is hard to see when the room is dark and the light is off and you're trying to turn it on. It would have been nice if maybe the power button was always lit so you could see it. I wouldn't have minded if the touch controls were on the base, rather than on the head of the lamp. A nice, but large, adjustable desk lamp ideally suited for an office.
